To celebrate Independent Authors Day on Wednesday 14 December, the Book Fairies dropped off copies of self-published books across London Underground. They were celebrating the launch of the first Indie Author Day Underground by @BooksUndergrnd. I think it’s an incredibly generous and exciting project, and I am very proud that There Is Always More To Say was one of the titles to have been distributed by @BOTUBookFairies. If you don’t already know about Books On The Underground, please take a look at their website. It’s an amazing initiative to encourage reading whereby new and old books are left around the Underground just waiting to be picked up, read and rehidden. and someone did!

I was delighted to hear that someone found a copy of my book on their tube journey last night. I hope they enjoy reading it and return it to the Underground for the next reader.

About Books on the Underground & the Book Fairies

You can (and should!) follow the link to a lovely article by @thebookseller about the launch of the first Indie Author Day Underground. It goes into more depth about what the fairies aim to achieve, and how they prepare each project to benefit the thousands of Londoners who commute in their morning and evening journey to work each day.

I hope you’ve noticed the addition of a new digital badge to my homepage? I’m thrilled that There Is Always More To Say has been honoured with a Chill with a Book Award. Please take a look at the link below where you can actually see the badge emblazoned on the front cover of There Is Always More To Say.

Honoured with a Chill with a Book AWARD: There Is Always More to Say by Lynda Young Spiro

It’s been a really exciting week this week and I wanted to tell you all. I’m going to sign off now. I’ve been really inspired lately. Ideas have been spinning around in my head recently, and the new book is beginning to take shape. The outline is coming along and I am discovering my characters – or maybe they are discovering me? I’m having fun getting to know them better.

I also need to try and get my act together for Christmas! It’s a very exciting time of year for my family, and even though we won’t all be together, we always get into the spirit from wherever we are in the world.

I wish you Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year.

Catch you later x
