Honorable Mention From The Hollywood Book Festival

Lynda Spiro - There is Always More To Say

This week I heard back from one of the many writing competitions I have entered over the last couple of months. I wanted to try my luck, as There Is Always More To Say seems to be picking up some attention from various bloggers and local publications. I submitted my work to the Hollywood Book Festival in the Fiction category.

After the long and enjoyable journey of writing my first novel, I am beginning to find this new journey of submitting and promoting it nearly as much fun.

I couldn’t believe it when I found out that I had received an Honorable Mention! I am truly humbled and proud that my work has been recognised and would like to thank Hollywood Book Festival for including me in their shortlist.

There Is Always More To Say has always been about affecting others. What started off as a response from my close friends and family is now reaching thousands of people across the world. It seems so amazing to me that various Twitter and Instagram followers are contacting me to tell me how my story has had such an immense impact on their lives.

For now, I have decided to continue submitting my work to different groups, blogs, competitions, and festivals around the country and beyond. It is true that writing There Is Always More To Say was a long and sometimes difficult challenge. But it was always an enjoyable one.

I will, of course, be keeping you all up to date with future developments. This week I have also sent off another three copies for review from online bloggers. I’ll post their feedback as soon as I hear back from them. For now, please feel free to check out the Hollywood Book Festival website below, as well as the link to purchase There Is Always More To Say if you haven’t already done so!
